The Westland Sea King HC.4, an adaptation of the Sea King for troop transport and utility roles, first entered service with the Royal Navy's Commando Helicopter Force in 1979. One of the Sea King HC.4’s most notable deployments came during the Falklands War in 1982. It played a crucial role in transporting British troops and supplies from ship to shore, often operating under hostile conditions.
