The Kawanishi H8K2 "Emily" was one of the most advanced flying boats deployed during World War II and served with distinction in the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service. Developed as a long-range maritime patrol aircraft, the H8K was designed to surpass earlier models like the H6K "Mavis."
